A committee was appointed by the Bombay High Court in the year 2001 to look after matter concerning pornography and cyber crime. The committee identified some problem and made issues such as licensing of cyber cafe, introducing of ID cards for cyber cafe visitors, rules and regulations to be set by the cyber cafe owners to prohibit minors from using the machines in Internet cafe unless accompanied by a guardian and mandatory maintaining of IP logs by cyber cafe. The committee placed special emphasis on training of cyber cops and introduced Crime Investigation Cell which proved a major boost in the development of cyber law. The most important thing is that all the rules and law where properly implemented.
